What is a Lithium ion Battery Pack

A lithium-ion battery pack, also known as a lithium-ion battery module or lithium-ion battery pack, is a collection of individual lithium-ion cells connected together to provide power.
These battery packs are commonly used in a wide range of applications, from consumer electronics such as smartphones and laptops to electric vehicles (EVs) and renewable energy storage systems. Because the voltage and capacity of a single lithium-ion cell is small and cannot meet the requirements of various customers, multiple lithium-ion cells need to be combined and connected according to the required size to form a lithium-ion battery pack to obtain greater voltage and capacity. to meet various needs.

How to build a lithium ion battery pack?

    1. First, the lithium-ion batteries need to be sorted. The batteries are sent to the sorting machine, the voltage is matched through the sorting machine, and then put into different voltage numbered boxes in sequence, and left to stand for 12 hours.

    2. Battery pack spot welding: first put the nickel strip in the fixture, and then put the battery core into the fixture.

    3. Put the placed battery core into the machine for 3D visual inspection, and check that all green passes.

    4. Put the inspected battery core cover into the welding machine and perform spot welding. After the welding is completed, check whether it is qualified. After passing the test, take out the battery pack and place it neatly and let it stand for 12 hours. Then put the quick peeling paper on it and wrap it. Apply high temperature tape.

    5. Weld the battery pack and protective plate in the order of B-, B+, B1, B2, and B3.

How to design a Lithium ion Battery pack?

If your company needs customized lithium battery packs, you can contact us. We are a company from China with 15 years of experience in R&D and production of lithium batteries.

The following aspects need to be determined when designing a lithium-ion battery pack:
    1. Battery core
    (1) Required capacity: It is necessary to determine the required battery pack capacity, which will determine the length of power supply time.
    (2) Voltage: Different devices require different voltages, and corresponding batteries need to be selected.
    (3) Current: The amount of electricity passing through any cross-section of the conductor per unit time is called current intensity. The current of the battery pack will determine the power supply speed.
    2. Protection board
The protective board can protect the battery from overcharging or short circuit protection.
    3. Size
Size will affect how easily the required equipment can be carried.
    4. Cost
In the design of the battery pack, different cells, protective boards, etc. will have different prices. Find the best solution and control costs.
